Nosedive marketing project.

     I had to create a poster and an online ad for the black mirror episode nose dive. In this episode we see the main character go through many obstacles to get to her friends wedding. In this world though everything is revolved around social media and rankings. Our protagonist starts out with a good rating and her rating depletes causing her to have so many issues just because her rating is low. I mainly focused on the topic of how these ratings show someones worth. I really wanted to show the importance of these ratings so I made that the main focal points of the advertisements.

For the poster I attempted to create my own poster from scratch I believe I did somewhat well as it does contain the main focus I wanted to hit in the promotion. I worked on a website called canva to create this, I had colored in the background and put the stars to represent the ratings. The words also help represent how the world runs via how the ratings determine someones worth. Lastly I added a mobile phone to the bottom to show the rating being on the phone because thats how the ratings are in the show.

For the advertisement I tried to create a darker tone with the the same meaning and message. This time I didn't exactly make it from scratch I found a template and used that to add everything I needed on there. I once again added stars to the advertisement to show the ratings. I had a very depressing picture of the main character after she had lost all her good ratings and tried to compliment it with a darker background. I chose pink for the backgrounds and colors for the text because when watching the show I see very pink tones especially since the phones where everyone is rated on is pink. The advertisement was much easier to make but I believe it is so much better as I had the help from the template and didn't have to make one all on my own. Not to say that I didn't try to make one on my own it just seemed very difficult so I decided to take some assistance to make it have a higher quality.
