Beginnings of my music video promotion assignment.

 The song that my group has chosen is Breakout by N.E.R.D. I have taken on the responsibility of promoting the music video that my group creates

The group I am working with have (in my opinion) a great taste in music so when they chose this song and I listened to it for the first time I was surprised as this song is very good yet not as popular as many other choices. However, Breakout wasn't the first song my group chose, the first song was "Passin' Me By" by The Pharcyde. Now although the song is good I believe it is much more limited than Breakout in the sense of making a story and music video so when they changed it I was very happy because I believe it will give them a chance to make the best music video they can.

My group is a dedicated bunch because they have a passion in music. I believe they will continue to be devoted towards producing a good music video. My group is in the AS level course so they are not as experienced but they seem to have a good hold on how production of a video and how it might work so I'm very excited to see how the video will come out, and I'm even more excited to promote their music video.

The plans for the music video is something where we see characters persevering through hardships. Examples of this that might be included in the music video will be a student receiving an F on an assignment and we see his reaction as the teacher hands it to them. Another example could be one of the characters getting rejected by a girl that he loved. My group plans to film some of the music video today at our schools homecoming football game, now although that could be a very good location as it is very natural and you can get a good shot there it would be really difficult. I made sure to personally warn them that although it sounds like a good idea they will find difficulty in it because a place like a football game is something that cannot be controlled and these confounding variables will assist in making filming there extremely difficult, yet I do hope they can pull it off.

I've recently created an instagram for the music video in order to promote it to the public as an immense amount of people in my school use instagram.I believe it is a good platform to reach large audiences. My plan for this is to post interviews with my group about the making of the music videos and go behind the scenes to see how the video was made in order to promote it. I plan on posting very frequently on the instagram in order to maintain a presence on social media to help me gain more followers for it. I also plan on promoting the instagram on my main account as well as getting my group members to promote it on their own as well. I will tag all of my group members instagram accounts in the bio so that whoever visits the instagram can find the creators of the music video.
