Week of March 6th

My group and I are still in the pre-production phase of our film opening. We’ve worked on a few things since my last update which includes more planning for our film as well as we rewrote our script as we weren’t happy with it because it was exactly what we wanted to convey. We initially wanted to convey ideas of popularity getting to someone’s head and we are still incorporating that but we want to push it further through one of the characters exploiting another just for the reason to gain their popularity. This idea was established in our original script but we decided that we didn't do it the way we wanted so we decided to rewrite it and focus more on the idea even dedicating a whole new part of a scene dedicated just to the idea of this exploitation. We haven't changed too much as we still want to have many comedic parts in our film opening but at the same time we want to dive into the manipulation part. This will also make it easier to set some mise-en-scene through outfits through the drastically different character personalities now.

When it comes to editing we need some animation in some parts of the film opening to introduce the characters, so we have someone who will help us with that. We also have been looking for not copyrighted music to incorporate into our film but we just haven't found what we want yet.

Another update on our film opening is that I have gathered three actors for our main characters I just need to figure out which actor would be suited best for each role. To figure this out I will be making the actors read important lines for each character and I will see then who I want to set the actors as.

Another piece of progress in our film opening is the locations have been figured out. We know where we will film during what time and even what props we may need during the shoot. 

My group and I are most likely going to start the filming soon but most of our film will get done within spring break as everyone will have much more time to attend each shoot making it easier for everyone.

We've decided to redo the script as were not happy with the original product but now we are. A link to the new script is below. We changed the name of one of the characters and changed up some scenes. This is going to make it much better for us as we now have a new script that we all like much more than the last one.
