Writing the Screenplay

 We've started writing our script and have taken a considerable turn with our vision. Our film initially was going to be an action movie but we realized we were going overboard. My partners and I discussed and decided to change the idea to a comedy film which we were more familiar with. We are happy with this change as it leads to more ideas from everyone to work on as we are not as limited with what we do.

The general idea of our new film "Fools Show" is about three teenagers "Max", "Treyvon", and "Brendon" these characters all live in different t kinds of households and we want to show how their home life influence the characters in the real world. These characters are all best friends and are all obsessed with the idea of becoming famous online through doing stunts or pranks to gain their views.

This idea is influenced by the"jackass" series and the film "Project X". Project X is a movie about these lame kids becoming extremely popular by hosting the craziest party. We are influenced by the Jackass films through the stunts they go through and we want to incorporate the idea of stunts and pranks in our film

Getting the general idea for our film wasn't too difficult as we ourselves are teenage boys and we have seen and have been influenced by these movies. One difficult thing we faced was the actual writing of the dialogue. We started the dialogue and realized how in-depth we had to be and especially with the huge change in idea it was difficult to gain traction at the beginning of the dialogue. Our plans to shoot these scenes are in a regular suburban neighborhood as well as individual characters' houses. The costumes are going to be casual with band shirts and sweatpants or shorts. Special effects will include a lot of match cuts to transition scenes and even an intro to a video. Our actors will most likely consist of our group members but I have lots of contacts with many acting students so I always could ask them for any extra needed help. Some props we will be using are a skateboard with a helmet and pads as well as various posters to line the character's rooms and even a computer to show the characters editing their own videos.
